I first became aware of my potential as a healer when I was 6 years old. My step-father told me that I had healing hands, and I believed him! I found that sick animals came to me and after touching them and stroking them, they went away looking better! I used to wonder why other people couldn’t see the things that I saw – for instance, nobody else talked to faeries, or what I now know as nature spirits. So I suppose I was always destined to be some kind of healer, but I had no idea then where that knowledge would lead me.
After a fairly ordinary schooling and college, I spent a few years in an office as a secretary, always knowing that it “wasn’t for me”. I continued with healing, in the form of reflexology, massage, hands-on healing and flower remedies, in my spare time. I moved to Exmoor when I was 18, and found myself working on the land – farming, shearing sheep, hay making, and generally being out in nature. This helped me to really get in touch with the seasons and the nature of the weather, the different qualities of the landscape, and how the animals, land and land spirits interacted with each other. I also had the opportunity at that time to meet some wonderful healers, and do a lot of work on myself. I realise now that this was a crucial time in my life, when I resolved much old unfinished business, and through that came the realisation that I wanted to help others do the same. It was as though I had “come home”!
Like most Shamans, I had a “difficult“ childhood, as many people would view it. I see it as an important learning period, where many tests were presented, overcome and (eventually) resolved. I spent much of my teens, twenties and early thirties studying esoteric sciences and healing systems, as well as human nature. It wasn’t until my thirties that I started to consolidate my teachings, and putting into practice many of the things I knew.
I started seriously studying Shamanism, with a wonderful teacher in the South West, called Talal Amin. This led me to start practicing Shamanic Healings, which in turn led me to start studying ancient systems of Space Clearing, practiced not only in the East, in places like Bali and India, but also in the West.
At roughly the same time I became interested in Feng Shui, sometimes known as the Art of Placement. I spent seven years studying with various teachers, including William Spear, Roger Green, and Richard Creightmore. I have studied and worked with Compass School, Form School and Black Hat Sect Feng Shui.
My studies and practice took me all over the world, to wonderful places such as Indonesia, India, China, Tibet and Nepal, studying Space Clearing, Feng Shui and Vaastu Shastra (Indian sacred architecture and form, dance, yoga, placement).
During my many visits abroad I have been lucky enough to be involved in different religions’ ceremonies, and to work with and learn from Shamans and Priests from other cultures. I learnt the importance and transformational qualities of ceremony, whether religion based or not. I perform ceremonies for blessing and consecrating buildings, for relationships, for the land, connecting with the ancestors, and others too numerous to list here. I am also an ordained Priest in the Universal Life Church.
I was highly privileged to be apprenticed to a Shaman in England, Jane Butler-Biggs. This was a 3 year commitment for me, which included deep study, practice and experience of Energy Tracking, Feng Shui, Space Clearing, Geopathic Stress clearing, Shamanic Healing, Earth Acupuncture, 5 Element (or 5 Transformations) theory and practice, Geomancy, and other healing protocols.
6 years ago I met a new teacher. His name is Francesco Gandolfi, and he is an Italian Master Kinesiopath. He helped me fit a missing piece of my jigsaw together, by teaching me Kinesiopathy. This is a deeply healing form of physical bodywork, incorporating kinesiology, cranio-sacral repatterning, homeopathy, nutrition and supplementation, flower remedies, meridian and chakra balancing and counselling. I had always thought that everything could be balanced purely by putting the “unseen” energies into their correct place. His teachings gave me a new perspective, and showed me that being comfortable and healthy in the physical body is just as important as being balanced in the energy bodies. I am an authorised trainer for the introduction to Kinesiopathy, a 3 day course called “Wellness – Beyond Stress”.
I have studied many energy healing systems, and now work as a conduit for Divine healing energies direct from Source. This means that there is no human intervention, leaving a very clear channel for energies to flow through me to my patients, allowing the energies to go wherever they are needed.
From all my experience in these fields, I have developed a holistic “treatment” which I call Energy Repair. This involves working on the physical body, encouraging and working with emotional release, helping people to connect to Source, or the Divine, clearing the connection to the earth, in other words grounding, Classical Shamanic work in the forms of Power and Soul Retrievals and Vision Questing, plus clearing, balancing and sealing the energy bodies, or aura. This is a full four-body system healing, which not only heals at a very deep, cellular level, but also teaches people to do the same for themselves. I am there right beside them, encouraging, prompting and holding their hands while they find out for themselves exactly how much personal power is at their command, allowing them to regain their own strengths and know themselves at a deep, core level. The result of Energy Repair is that people are empowered, and as healthy and whole as they can be at that moment.
You will find testimonials elsewhere on this website for each of the treatments I offer, which I hope will inspire people to explore themselves and become more of who they truly are, as many others have done. My life’s mission is to empower people. I aim to open the doors to change. I like to see as little of my patients as possible! In other words, not to create a dependency but to help people to become as independent as possible, in charge of their own health, emotions and, if they wish, spiritual growth.
I met my dearest friend and colleague Roberta Shewen at a Space Clearing workshop in London many years ago, where we became friends and discovered that we only lived 30 miles apart. We have worked together as Feng Shui practitioners, Space Clearers and Shamans, ever since then. Although we don’t work together on everything, we are always there backing each other up energetically. Roberta is a constant source of support and inspiration to me, as well as being the only person I know who can really “get inside me” when I need to work on myself! We have travelled all over the globe together, working, studying and occasionally, playing.
I run Shamanic Retreats with Roberta, and I take on Apprentices, to teach them as much as I am able. Apprenticeship details can be found elsewhere on this site.
I work on buildings, land and with people. I have worked in hospitals, hospices, offices, churches, temples, nursing homes, personal homes, cellars, tunnels, attics, building sites, tunnels, on the mountains, in the desert and by the sea. I also do remote clearings and consultations. I love what I do, and I don’t consider it work. I know that if I ever consider myself to be working, then it’s time to take a break.
I hope you enjoy our website, and thank you for visiting us!
